This type of therapy is where communication tools shine. Our approach to family counselling is not to be a mediator or to rehash your disagreements. The therapist’s role in sessions is to give your family the tools and techniques to communicate more effectively with one another. Sometimes this may involve personal reflections, individual take home assignments and in session practicing (role-playing). If each family member attending the sessions is committed to making positive changes, then this is the right step for your family.
