Fees range per service and provider. The fees per service can be found in full on the booking page. Payments are processed at the end of each appointment. Receipts are provided following payment.

This is a great question but unfortunately difficult to answer. Wellness Within will not put a limit on our sessions and will not expect you to commit to a number of sessions either. Our hope is to help guide you, build on your skills and confidence so that you feel able to handle the loops and turns the rollercoaster of life has for you in the future. We practice from the idea that therapy is the instructions manual we sometimes have to go back to when something out of the ordinary happens. We don’t close the door to you and you are welcome to re-engage at anytime after ending services with us.

Our services are covered by many insurance providers. Please connect directly with your provider to confirm that you have coverage for the specific therapist’s credentials you are working with. Once payment is received you will be provided with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursements. We do not offer direct pilling to insurance providers at this time.
Save your receipts as counselling services are tax deductible as a medical expense.

Our clinic requires at least 24 hours notice when cancelling appointments. A cancellation fee of 50% of the full-service fee will be applied if less than 24 hours notice is given and/or if you do not show up for your appointment. Thank you for your understanding of this important policy. It helps us be able to provide quality care to all our clients.

Unfortunately, our therapists are not able to accommodate a reduced fee or free therapy at this time. If you need to discuss payment plans or adjustments please speak with the clinic owner Kyla Balderson to discuss options available to you.

It is common that our paths may cross outside of session as we live in a small community. To maintain your confidentiality the therapists at Wellness Within will not approach you. It is your choice if you wish to acknowledge us or say hello. Maintaining your privacy is very important to us and we ask that you do the same for our staff as well.

In our first session the therapist will spend some time getting to know you and your situation. Together you will create a plan of treatment. Yes! That's right! We are both active participants in your therapy. Well, we will be as active as you need us to be. The plan of treatment will help guide our future sessions and keep us on track in therapy to make sure you are getting the most out of your sessions. Although we value a friendly connection with clients - it is important to us that you get more than just that from your time with us.

We GET IT! Things happen and sometimes our littles must tag along last minute. We believe in reducing barriers to counselling when possible - but therapy can be challenging to engage in when we have little ones moving around the room. If your littles are joining us the session will look a little different as some topics should not be shared with little ears present. You can chat about this more individually with your therapist to meet your needs.

A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario is a therapist that has graduated with a Master's degree and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). The Qualifying status stays with a therapist until they complete 1,000 direct client hours, and 150 hours of supervision from an experienced therapist and write their Registration Exam. They are authorized to practice and are often covered under extended health benefits under their own CRPO number or their supervising therapists registration number.

If you are a new client and looking to start today then please reach out to our e-mail wellnesswithintcs@gmail.com and we will connect you with one of our Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) the same day.

If you are not already connected with a therapist on our team please reach out directly to our AMHS-KFLA crisis line for support. Unfortunately our schedules and the nature of psychotherapy do not allow for crisis support. However, if you are already seeing a therapist on our team then we encourage you to notify them of your current situation to ensure proper follow up.
