D’Arcy Bowker

Take a deep belly breath… and let it out. Welcome! My name is D’Arcy Bowker and for the past 15 years I’ve been working in the human services field as a case manager for those struggling with housing and homelessness, those living in poverty, youth in significant life transition & young parents. I like to say I have a passion for people and their stories! This passion has led me to complete my education and training as a psychotherapist as I deeply believe in the power of connection, care & compassion as provided through talk therapy.

It is this connection, care & compassion I am determined to offer you through a lens of Narrative Therapy, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Inner Child work and Humanistic approaches. Whether this be in office, virtually or in the form of outdoor walk therapy!

With a strong focus towards men's mental health and the effects of masculinity, life transitions related to parenthood, relationship management, grief, career & life planning and those struggling with health/chronic illnesses, I am available to walk with you on your journey to healing.

D’Arcy’s Approach:

  • Adlerian

  • Art Therapy

  • Attachment-based

  • Compassion Focused

  • Emotionally Focused

  • Existential

  • Humanistic

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

On a personal note, D’Arcy is a single parent of two young girls and thoroughly loves being a “Mama”! She has been challenged by her own health concerns in the last few years and this has opened her awareness of the gaps in the healthcare system and the psychological stress a health diagnosis can have on people. She loves finding creative outlets and using her hands to create an array of pretty things. She is astounded by how healing walking is for her and looks forward to meeting and hearing the stories of those she has the opportunity to work with.
